Volunteer Screening, Application, and Training

Volunteer Screening Process

Due to the sensitive and confidential nature of the work performed by the volunteers, all volunteers are required to undergo a thorough screening process. The screening process includes:

  • Interview with the Director of Volunteers;
  • Application giving employment history, contact information, and specific skills;
  • Written references from at least three individuals;
  • Criminal background checks.

The volunteer application may be faxed, e-mailed, or sent by regular mail. At the time of the interview, an application with an original signature will be required. Volunteers are asked to submit a copy of their driver’s license and automobile insurance with the application. Training
